Where is the Pew research on 47% not wanting kids? I can see a 47% on whether having fewer kids is bad for society.
I'm sceptical of it. Of non-parents 18-49 who say they are unlikely to have children, 56% say they just don't want to. But the number of non-parents who say they are unlikely to have kids is 44%. So this evens out at about 1/4 non-parents 18-49 just choosing not to have kids.
Which is still a huge rise in voluntary childlessness, but more on a par with rates in other countries.
