speaking as one trans woman (who hardly represents all trans people, obviously) I would like to say that, yes, I too experience discomfort from non-passit trans people. (and, frankly, had a lot of discomfort with drag queens, possibly for quite different reasons.) that did not prevent me from transitioning. again, I don't speak for all trans people.
tangentially, I appear to have a different relatioknship to the uncanny than many people. it gets triggered, if anything, more in my case, by people with excessive makeup or obvious plastic surgeries, in many instances, but not by, say, puppets or even clowns. what that says about me, I don't know.
