Simone and Malcolm examine the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S) movement and the dominant narrative that frames high rates of violence against Native women primarily as the legacy of settler colonialism, racism, and systemic failures.
Simone gone wild, momma 🐻 style, and Malcolm actually has to bleep SubStack... We also get the crying version that preceded this in another episode. Ride or die, as in how the West and many other empires and civilization(s) was won.
Malcolm's character cards maybe fiction, but sometimes you need fiction in order to dig into deeper truths. the only reason we don't see more of this from worthy people in functional roles is that most of their virtual is consumed by worthy targets.
Here we get a peek 🫣 so that others can make similar/effective/wise choices. know what you are willing to fight and for for and your live will have purpose and meaning and can matter long after you are gone.
This is SO refreshing!!! I feel so relieved that we can talk here about how some cultures just suck and shouldn’t continue and that’s actually a good thing. You guys should do an episode about indigenous people in Australia. There is a lot, including the fact that their art, which is plastered everywhere - on buses, in health clinics, policy documents and more, - is seen as celebrating and including their cultures and yet, it was originally created by a white person 😂.
Also, a book called Dark Emu explains how Indigenous Australians were supposedly more advanced than we thought, but the evidence behind it is apparently weak.
Don’t even get me started on the fact that we have to acknowledge their cultures and how the “area in which we teach has always been a place of teaching and learning” has to be stated religiously before EVERY uni tutorial and lecture. Why are we even acknowledging a culture that is a net drain on the country? So many of them have yelled and physically threatened me because I walk by their eyesight in public, calling me racist and a c*** and I’m not even fully white either.
zero chance of a black woman being touched by a white man . American Indian native woman are highly valued .by white men . if I understand this podcast.
Man the redactions in this video, it’s sad that the Overton window has not shifted enough that they’re no longer necessary
