Whites should make no apologies for colonialism. If the nonwhites had the power inbalance over Whites that we had over them, Whites wouldn’t be around to complain about it, and nonwhites wouldn’t feel at all guilty about anything.

Re: End notes. Simone, the issue with CAPTCHA's isn't that you aren't human, it's that you've been given super human abilities for a higher purpose (that doesn't involve clicking all pictures that have stoplights).

Out of practicality as well as professional curiosity, have you considered/tried the alternative/acceptable CAPTCHA'S if/when available. Not everyone offers these, but Google's seem to be better than most. They also have a web form for accessibility issues and generally respond/address issues with a best effort approach within 24 hours and/or a list of options and/or missing inputs/clarifications with a plan for resolution.

I've worked issues with them before for myself and others. While not magic, it does provide for collaborative solutions, i.e. quality of responses/results generally proportional to the quality/thoughtfulness for responsible/responsible/practical requests for improvement.

While it may not completely eliminate issues, it can often improve the situation now and through better guidance, goals, and user stories / test cases for future development.

I often see some initial improvement and/or am provided enough clarification to generate a better work around. This is then followed up ~6-9 months later with the issue dramatically reduced.

Sometimes there are brief recurrences, but then almost always resolved/restored by automatic correction within days without requiring any additional follow-up (although I have found occasional follow-up acknowledgements to commend significant resolutions to significantly improve efficacy ;^).

For sure! The alternatives just take longer. Good tip though!
